AI assistants

Use Zipe inside your AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client to your workspaces, with the permissions you choose and one workspace at a time.

Server address

https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp

Before connecting

  • AI agent access starts off in every workspace. An owner or admin turns it on in Settings › AI agents.
  • To connect, you need to be a member, admin or owner in at least one workspace.
  • One connection reaches all your workspaces, including later ones. Where you are a viewer, the assistant only reads.
  • Each tool acts on a single workspace, chosen by name in every request.

How to connect

Claude

Free, Pro or Max

Who does it: You add the connector yourself.

  1. Open Customize › Connectors at claude.ai/customize/connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector and name it Zipe.
  3. Paste the address https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp.
  4. When asked about the OAuth client, keep Use Claude's published identity.
  5. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

On the Free plan, Claude accepts a single custom connector.

Team or Enterprise

Who does it: Only the Owner of the Claude organization adds the connector; each member then just clicks Connect.

  1. The Owner opens Organization settings › Connectors and adds a custom connector named Zipe.
  2. Paste the address https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp.
  3. Each member opens Customize › Connectors, finds Zipe and clicks Connect.
  4. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

On these plans a member cannot add the connector alone.

Claude Code

Terminal

Who does it: You, on your own computer.

claude mcp add --transport http zipe https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp
  1. Run the command above in the terminal.
  2. Inside Claude Code, type /mcp, pick zipe and authorize in the browser.
  3. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

Claude Code does not ask for a new permission in the middle of a call. To authorize what you will use up front, see the For developers block.

For developers

For Claude Code to ask for the permissions you want on the first authorization, add Zipe with oauth.scopes. The line below asks for Read the workspace, Read Conversations, Reply in Conversations, Read Social Listening, Operate Social Listening, Create and publish content, Manage automations, Adjust the Brain, Manage competitors and My preferences. Paid features and Administration are left out; add them if you need them.

claude mcp add-json zipe '{"type":"http","url":"https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp","oauth":{"scopes":"zipe:read zipe:conversations:read zipe:conversations:write zipe:listening:read zipe:listening:write zipe:content:write zipe:automations:write zipe:brain:write zipe:insights:write zipe:self:write"}}'

If a tool asks for a permission that is not on the list, add it to oauth.scopes and authorize again in /mcp.

ChatGPT

Plus or Pro (web)

Who does it: You create the plugin yourself.

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Zipe.
  3. Paste the address https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp.
  4. Under Authentication, choose OAuth.
  5. Accept the risk notice and choose Create as a plugin.
  6. Open the plugin and install it with +.
  7. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.
  8. In a conversation on the Work tab, call Zipe with @Zipe.

Business, Enterprise or Edu

Who does it: Only an admin or owner of the ChatGPT workspace creates and publishes it; that workspace access control decides who uses it.

  1. The admin opens chatgpt.com/plugins, clicks + and chooses Add custom MCP server.
  2. Paste the address https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp.
  3. The admin chooses OAuth under Authentication, accepts the risk notice and chooses Create as a plugin.
  4. The admin publishes the plugin to the people or groups who will use it, and each person installs it with +.
  5. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

In a Business or Enterprise workspace, the ChatGPT administrator policy may block custom MCP servers.

If the ChatGPT admin leaves the app writes off, only the Zipe reads show up. To allow invites, requests and the other writes, the admin opens Workspace settings › Apps › Manage actions and enables the Zipe actions.

ChatGPT Company Knowledge only looks things up: no Zipe write runs through it. To invite, change settings or create a request, call Zipe in a conversation.

VS Code

Terminal

Who does it: You, on your own computer.

code --add-mcp '{"name":"zipe","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp"}'
  1. Run the command above in the terminal.
  2. In VS Code, start the zipe server and authorize in the browser when asked.
  3. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

Codex

Terminal

Who does it: You, on your own computer.

codex mcp add zipe --url https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp
codex mcp login zipe
  1. Run the two commands above, one after the other.
  2. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

Without the login, Codex connects unauthenticated and Zipe refuses. After revoking the connection, run the login again.

Authorization returns to your own computer. A remote callback address, such as one from a cloud environment, is not accepted.

Antigravity

Terminal

Who does it: You, on your own computer.

agy mcp add zipe https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp
  1. Run the command above in the terminal.
  2. Authorize in the browser when Antigravity asks.
  3. Sign in to Zipe at app.zipe.app, check the client name and tick the permissions you want.

Try asking

Always name the workspace. The assistant picks the tools on its own.

  • List my Zipe workspaces and tell me my role in Padaria Lumen.
  • In Padaria Lumen, summarize the reach and engagement of the connected accounts over the last 30 days.
  • Which were the 5 posts with the most engagement in Padaria Lumen this month, and what do they share?
  • What is scheduled on the Padaria Lumen calendar for next week?
  • Create a draft Instagram post for Padaria Lumen about sourdough bread, in the brand voice.
  • In Padaria Lumen, which watched competitors grew the most in followers this month?
  • Show this week's unanswered comments in Padaria Lumen, grouped by topic.

What the assistant does

99 tools in 11 modules: 43 read tools, 5 paid read tools, 20 direct write tools and 31 tools that ask for approval in the app.

Read the workspace starts ticked. The others start ticked only when the AI client asks for them.

Paid features and Administration start unticked on the first authorization, even when the client asks for them.

The assistant sees every tool from the start. When it calls one that needs a permission you did not grant, the client asks you to authorize again: in Claude, the authorization screen; in ChatGPT, the connection notice; in Claude Code, /mcp.

An owner or admin can lock specific permissions for agents in each workspace, in Settings › AI agents, under Agent permissions. Everything starts unlocked, Conversations included.

  • Read the workspace

    Starts ticked

Reads posts, metrics, calendar, Brain, automations and competitors of the workspaces you can access. Also reads the requests waiting for approval.

  • Read Conversations

    Ticked when the client asks

Reads direct messages, comments, mentions and reviews of the connected accounts.

  • Reply in Conversations

    Ticked when the client asks

Prepares replies and comment moderation. Anything that reaches the public waits for someone in the workspace to approve it.

  • Read Social Listening

    Ticked when the client asks

Reads the queries, the collected mentions and the summaries of Social Listening.

  • Operate Social Listening

    Ticked when the client asks

Creates and adjusts Social Listening queries. Activating, collecting and deleting wait for approval.

  • Create and publish content

    Ticked when the client asks

Creates drafts, ideas and message templates. Scheduling and publishing wait for approval.

  • Manage automations

    Ticked when the client asks

Creates and edits automations, which start paused. Activating waits for approval.

  • Adjust the Brain

    Ticked when the client asks

Confirms or corrects Brain facts. Declaring a new fact and revising the strategy wait for approval.

  • Manage competitors

    Ticked when the client asks

Starts or stops watching accounts in Insights. Always approved by someone in the workspace.

  • Paid features

    Starts unticked

Reads and collections that use the workspace daily limit, the same ones the app offers.

  • Administration

    Starts unticked

Prepares invites, roles, brand access and workspace settings. An owner or admin approves each change.

  • My preferences

    Ticked when the client asks

Adjusts your own notice preferences in Zipe.

Security

How do I know I am connecting the real Zipe?

The address must be https://mcp.zipe.app/mcp, on the host mcp.zipe.app. Distrust any other.

The authorization screen opens on app.zipe.app and shows the AI client name and the permissions asked. If anything does not match, close it.

One workspace at a time

Each tool reads or writes a single workspace, and every answer, widget and request shows its name. No tool joins data from different workspaces.

If the assistant writes to a workspace up to 24 hours after reading or writing another one, the write becomes a request in the app, even if it would be direct.

Who is told when I connect?

You and the owners and admins of all your active workspaces get a notice in the bell and by e-mail, with the client name.

Each person can turn that notice off in Settings › Notifications, you included. The alert about misuse of the connection still arrives by e-mail and cannot be turned off.

Connection created by support

During a support session, an authorized Zipe person may connect an assistant operated by Zipe for up to 24 hours. That connection shows up with the Created by Zipe support badge, makes no administrative changes, approves no requests and ends with the session.

Approvals

  • Drafts and internal items that can be undone are done directly. Anything that reaches the public, changes access, costs or deletes becomes a request in the app.
  • Requests wait in the Agent requests queue of each workspace. Whoever has the permission approves them one by one or in a batch, several of the same kind at once, and can remove items from a batch before approving.
  • Anyone whose role in the workspace allows the action can approve, including whoever asked.
  • A request lasts 24 hours, or less when the social network 24-hour window to answer a message or comment closes first. The request card shows the real deadline.
  • No tool or widget approves a request. Approval only happens in the app.

Frequently asked questions

How much can the assistant use?

The assistant uses the workspace limits, as in the app, according to the workspace plan or contract.

Media reading, transcription and lookups of profiles and hashtags outside the watched ones only work with the Paid features permission ticked.

Why did the assistant ask for permission in the middle of the conversation?

The assistant sees every tool, but each one needs its own permission. When one is missing, the client opens the authorization again for you to decide.

In Claude Code this shows up in /mcp; to avoid it, declare the permissions in oauth.scopes.

How do I limit what agents do in my workspace?

In Settings › AI agents, an owner or admin can turn agent access off in the workspace, lock specific permissions and block a connection.

Why is Cursor not listed?

Zipe delivers the whole catalog at once (99 tools) and Cursor turns off tools above its limit of about 40. That is why there is no Cursor guide yet.

Troubleshooting

When a tool refuses a request, the assistant shows the reason. These are the most common ones.

The connection expired
Connect Zipe again from your AI client.
Code: token_expired
The connection was ended
Someone ended the connection in Settings › AI agents, or you did. Connect again if you still need it.
Code: token_revoked
A permission is missing
Authorize again when the client asks and tick the permission the tool needs. In Claude Code, use /mcp.
Code: insufficient_scope
Permission locked in this workspace
An owner or admin locked that permission for agents. Only they can unlock it, in Settings › AI agents.
Code: agent_permission_locked
AI agents turned off in the workspace
Ask an owner or admin of the workspace to check Settings › AI agents.
Code: workspace_mcp_disabled
Connection blocked in the workspace
Ask an owner or admin of the workspace to check Settings › AI agents.
Code: workspace_blocked_for_connection
Workspace suspended
The workspace owner can reactivate it in the Zipe app. Meanwhile, tools do not act on it.
Code: workspace_suspended
Payment pending in the workspace
The workspace owner can settle the subscription in the Zipe app.
Code: workspace_past_due
Workspace removed
The workspace no longer exists. Ask the assistant to list your workspaces and pick another one.
Code: workspace_removed
Your role does not allow the action
Where you are a viewer, the assistant only reads. Ask an owner or admin to change your role, if it makes sense.
Code: role_insufficient
Workspace not found
Ask the assistant to list your workspaces and use the exact name.
Code: workspace_unknown
Too many calls in a row
Wait a few seconds and ask again.
Code: burst_limited
Agent access paused
Zipe paused agent access for safety. Try later; the app keeps working.
Code: platform_paused
Workspace limit reached
The workspace limit for that action ran out and comes back on the date shown, as in the app.
Code: quota_exceeded
Reply window closed
The social network only accepts a reply within 24 hours of the person last message. Wait for them to write again.
Code: messaging_window_closed
